In the distant future, as humanity expands its reach into deep space, it attempts to colonize the harsh ice planet Niflheim. However, the endeavor faces significant challenges due to the presence of aggressive native creatures called Creepers.

Among the colonization team sent to the planet, Mickey is treated as a disposable asset—easily replaceable through cloning—and is assigned only the most dangerous, life-threatening tasks. After his seventh reincarnation, Mickey7 falls into a deep pit and sustains injuries during a mission. Despite this, the higher-ups refuse to rescue him, deeming it easier to create Mickey8 instead.

Against all odds, Mickey7 manages to return to base on his own, only to discover that Mickey8 has already been born and is occupying his room.
