The evil spirit that can only leave the waters by possessing a live human, soosalgwi. A young child’s spirit who tragically died while waiting for its mother attacks the younger sibling ‘Su-ah’ leaving her and her family in long suffering. The mother ‘Geumjung’ was a powerful shaman and attempts to use the forces of ‘sangsaeng’ and ‘sanggeuk’ to escape the ‘mulgwishin’ however, eventually loses ‘Su-ah’ to the cold deep waters. The remaining family crumbles. Then one day, ‘Gayoung’ heads to the waters that swallowed ‘Su-ah’ to find her suddenly missing mother. There, ‘Gayoung’ discovers an unidentifiable dead body and is chased by a horrible susalgwi in the form of ‘Gayoung’s’ younger sibling…
