〈The World of Love〉 is a story about a popular, top-performing high school girl, Joo-in, who causes turmoil by single-handedly refusing to join a school-wide petition proposed by her classmate Soo-ho. As the story unfolds in a maze of mystery, it explores the complexities of teenage life.

Before its release, the film attracted significant attention by becoming the first Korean film to be invited to the competition section of the Toronto International Film Festival. It went on to win two awards at the Pingyao International Film Festival, the International Federation of Film Critics (FIPRESCI) Award at the Warsaw International Film Festival, and was officially invited to compete at the Tokyo FilmEx, receiving its tenth festival invitation. Following the film's success, The Master of the World Screenplay Collection has been published by Anon Books.

The film delicately treats the theme of overcoming personal wounds, not by erasing them but by acknowledging them as a part of life, as the characters move forward into the future, living and protecting each other. Through the finely crafted dialogue and intricate narrative details dealing with one person's wounds, the screenplay collection invites viewers into a new world of deeper reflection and connection.

개봉 전부터 토론토국제영화제에 한국 영화 최초로 경쟁 부문에 초청되며 화제를 모았고, 핑야오국제영화제 2관왕, 바르샤바국제영화제 국제영화비평가연맹상을 휩쓸었을 뿐만 아니라, 도쿄필맥스영화제 경쟁 부문에 공식 초청돼 열 번째 영화제 러브콜을 받고 있다는 가운데, 안온북스에서 《세계의 주인 각본집》이 출간되었다.
