Everyday Knitting Club

The 10 knitting artists I’ve been curious about have all come together. Let’s explore 13 unique works that reflect caregiving stories and individual personalities through knitting. This is a new project by Nakyangmosa, which supports various activities through collaboration among creators! 『Everyday Knitting Club』 began with the concept of focusing on one’s own knitting work as a hobby or practice to care for oneself, creating knitted items for others, and making objects to be used in self-care time.

The project features 10 artists: Kimtteugae, Son I-hwa, Ruth Atelier, GMOOLWORK, Loop, Monsoon, My Little Peace, Kim So-yeon, Mignon Knit, and Owllama Studio. These artists introduce 13 knit items, including knitted clothing, socks, and practical accessories for everyday life, all made with knitting needles and crochet hooks. Each artist shares a short essay reflecting the meaning of caregiving, and each work includes a QR code to assist beginner knitters in understanding the process. Additionally, chart patterns are provided in PDF format, and a QR code is included for direct communication with the artist to ask questions and receive answers related to the patterns.

내가 궁금했던 10명의 뜨개 작가가 모두 모였다. 뜨개를 통해 들여다본 돌봄 스토리와 개성이 각기 다른 13개의 작품을 만나보자. 창작가들의 협업으로 다양한 활동을 지원하는 낙양모사의 새로운 프로젝트! 『에브리데이 니팅 클럽』은 취미 혹은 행위로서 온전히 나의 뜨개 작업에 집중하며 자신의 마음을 돌보고, 누군가를 위한 뜨개로 어떤 대상을 돌보며, 나를 돌보는 시간에 사용할 물건을 직접 만들어 소개한다는 기획으로부터 시작되었다.

프로젝트에는 10명의 작가가 뭉쳤다. 옷뜨는 김뜨개, 손이화, 룻 아뜰리에, 그물 작업실, 룹, 몬순, 마이 리틀 피스, 김소연, 미뇽니트, 아울라마 스투디오가 그 주인공이다. 이들은 대바늘, 코바늘로 만드는 니트와 양말부터 실생활에 유용한 소품 13개를 소개한다. 작가마다 돌봄의 의미를 담아낸 짧은 에세이를 담고 있으며, 작품마다 QR 코드를 실어 초보 니터의 빠른 이해를 돕는다. 또한 차트 도안 PDF를 제공하며, 도안에 관련된 내용을 작가에게 직접 묻고 답변 받을 수 있는 QR 코드를 제공한다.
