I Put Dinner in the Drawer - by Han Kang 2024 Nobel Prize Winner

Vol. 438 of "The Poet of Moonji Publishing." It is Han Kang's first collection of poems, which etches certain truths and essential emotions encountered at the boundary between the solitude and sorrow of human life, and life and death in a unique and correct style.

In 1993, Han Kang's first poem was published in the winter issue of the quarterly Literature Society, and the following year, the short story was elected in the Seoul Newspaper and began its creative activities in earnest. Han Kang, who has been in his 20th year since her debut in 2013, has selected 60 poems among the poems she has written and published in his time to publish eight novels.

Han Kang's poetry collection, in which the passion is fully sensed just by glimpsing the title of the psalms of the series "The Tomb of the Evening," "Songs I Heard at Dawn," "Bloody Snow," and "Winter Beyond the Mirror," is full of voices that transparently confront language and existence that are more evident in darkness and silence.

'저녁의 소묘', '새벽에 들은 노래', '피 흐르는 눈', '거울 저편의 겨울' 연작들의 시편 제목을 일별하는 것만으로도 그 정조가 충분히 감지되는 한강의 시집은, 어둠과 침묵 속에서 더욱 명징해지는 존재와 언어를 투명하게 대면하는 목소리로 가득하다. "말과 동거"하는 숙명을 안은 채 "고통과 절망의 응시 속에서 반짝이는 깨어 있는 언어-영혼"을 발견해가는 시적 화자의 환희와 경이의 순간이 빛-무늬처럼 고스란히 독자에게 전염된다.
