Details
In a corner of the neighborhood arcade, a delinquent man cynically bites down on his cigarette. His friend from the same back alley has grown into a proper boss of an organization, yet the only thing that fell into his lap is a small video store. Eyes covered in rheum and bloodshot red. The only time those eyes spark with light is in front of the chaotic arcade machine. That’s why he isn’t a gangster, just a thug. One day, Gangjae stumbles into a situation and bets his life on a contract with an organization boss. He makes the difficult decision in hopes to finally achieve his dream to succeed and return to his hometown, and then a mysterious letter arrives.
Mr. Gangjae, thank you so much. Thanks to you, I am able to continue working in Korea. The people here are all kind. But the most kind is you. Since you married me.”
Human Lee Ganjae had a wife. Gangjae remembers the sham marriage he agreed to for a quick buck. And from the one page letter Ganjae feels an odd warmth and sets him at the edge of a strange new relationship.
