NEW Ehwa Korean 3-1 Workbook

The 『New Ewha Korean』 series is a communication-oriented Korean language textbook developed by the Ewha Language Education Institute, which leads Korean language education. It is composed of textbooks and workbooks ranging from Level 1 to Level 6. New Ewha Korean Workbook 3-1 is a practice book designed to help learners review and internalize the content covered in the textbook. It provides a variety of practice exercises based on vocabulary, expressions, grammar, listening, speaking, reading, and writing topics covered in the textbook.

This workbook aims to enhance learners' grammatical usage and communication skills simultaneously by offering various exercises focused on both accuracy and fluency. In particular, the speaking section introduces key vocabulary to help learners construct real conversations, while the writing section encourages learners to write paragraphs on specific topics to improve their discourse construction skills. Additionally, to address any questions learners might have during self-study, grammar explanations for each unit are included in the appendix.

『새 이화 한국어』 시리즈는 한국어 교육을 선도하는 이화여자대학교 언어교육원이 새롭게 개발한 의사소통 중심의 한국어 교재로, 1급에서 6급까지 교재와 워크북으로 구성되어 있다. 『새 이화 한국어 Workbook 3-1』은 교재 내용을 확인하고 내재화시킬 수 있도록 한 연습서로, 교재에서 다룬 어휘와 표현, 문법, 듣기, 말하기, 읽기, 쓰기의 내용을 바탕으로 다양한 활용 연습이 가능하도록 설계했다.

학습자들의 문법 사용 능력과 의사소통 능력을 동시에 도모하고자 정확성과 유창성에 중점을 둔 다양한 연습 문제를 제공하고 있는데, 특히 말하기 섹션에서는 핵심어를 제시하여 실제적으로 대화를 구성할 수 있게 했고, 쓰기 섹션에서는 주제 중심의 단락 쓰기를 하게 함으로써 담화 구성 능력 향상을 도모하고자 했다. 아울러 개별 학습 시 발생할 수 있는 학습자들의 의문점들을 해소시키기 위해 부록에 각 단원의 문법 설명을 실었다.
