NEW Ehwa Korean 4-2

『New Ewha Korean』 is a communication-focused Korean language textbook newly developed by the Language Education Institute of Ewha Womans University, a leading institution in Korean language education. While maintaining the institute’s signature emphasis on communicative learning and the integration of speaking, listening, reading, and writing, this textbook offers more effective and diverse teaching methods and learning content.

Level 4 consists of 12 units in total: 『New Ewha Korean 4-1』 includes Units 1 through 6, and 『New Ewha Korean 4-2』 covers Units 7 through 12. Each unit is divided into three smaller sections, allowing learners to thoroughly practice various language functions centered around a single theme. At the end of each unit, a “Vocabulary and Expression Check” section is included to help learners review the vocabulary and expressions covered in that unit.

『새 이화 한국어』는 한국어 교육을 선도하는 이화여자대학교 언어교육원이 새롭게 개발한 의사소통 중심의 한국어 교재로, 이화여대 언어교육원의 고유한 특성인 의사소통 중심 학습과 말하기, 듣기, 읽기, 쓰기의 통합성을 유지하면서도 더욱 효과적이고 다채로운 교수 방식과 학습 내용을 제시하고 있다.

4급은 총 12과로 구성되어 있으며, 『새 이화 한국어 4-1』에는 1-6과, 『새 이화 한국어 4-2』에는 7-12과가 수록되어 있다. 각 단원은 다시 세 개의 소단원으로 나누어 하나의 주제에 대해 다양한 기능을 충분히 연습할 수 있도록 하고, 단원 마지막에는 ‘어휘와 표현 확인’ 섹션을 넣어 그 단원에서 배운 어휘와 표현들을 점검할 수 있도록 구성했다.
