One Of Them Is A Lie

"One of Them is A Lie" is a story about three high school second graders who are conscious of each other for the first time through several accidental opportunities and then gradually approaching each other and passing through an unforgettable vacation. The main time period covered in the novel is a short vacation of about two months, but we experience the warriors of the characters who have come to the present through a unique composition in which the truth is slowly revealed by going back and forth between the perspective of the three children. This is probably why this novel, which is never long, feels vast above all else.

『이중 하나는 거짓말』은 고등학교 2학년생의 세 아이가 몇 가지 우연한 계기를 통해 처음으로 서로를 의식한 후 서서히 가까워지며 잊을 수 없는 방학을 통과해나가는 이야기이다. 소설에서 주요하게 다뤄지는 시간대는 두 달 남짓한 짧은 방학이지만, 우리는 세 아이의 시점을 오가면서 서서히 진실이 밝혀지는 독특한 구성을 통해 현재에 이르게 된 인물들의 전사를 총체적으로 경험하게 된다. 결코 길지 않은 이 소설이 무엇보다 광활하게 느껴지는 것은 이 때문일 것이다.
