In this installment, a fatal and absolute being—one that threatens the immortality of Seoju, the bookstore’s true form and central figure—emerges, plunging the bookstore into crisis and unraveling the ongoing tale of love and eternity between Yeonseo and Seoju.

This story expands the world of The Fantastic Bookstore by weaving in more traditional Korean folklore. Alongside familiar figures like Okto and the Chasa (grim reapers of the afterlife), new characters enrich the essence of K-fantasy: the Book Goblin, born from a graveyard of books and intrinsically tied to the bookstore itself; the Lady Guest, an emotional spirit of sorrow and love; and the Plague Doctor, a deity of illness yet the farthest removed from harm.

These warm reinterpretations of traditional figures—spanning from myth to modernity—create a rich narrative that once again positions the Fantastic Bookstore as a captivating space between graceful Eastern fantasy and a romance that blooms like the season’s first snow, enchanting readers around the world.
