Video Guide

DVD

DVD is a type of optical disc that stores and plays digital data.

DVD region codes are used to identify DVDs that are compatible with the players that are typically sold in a specific region. The codes are used to prevent DVDs from being played outside of the region they were made for.

Most DVD players in the US can only play DVDs with the region code 1 or ALL, except for region free players.

BLU-RAY

Blu-ray is an optical disc format that can store and play high-definition video and other digital content.

Blu-ray offers higher capacity and video quality than DVD.
