Hello everyone, it's Yongyong.

Are you all doing well amidst the days when spring is in full bloom?

After releasing my first studio album, I spent a lot of time writing and experimenting with many songs, filled with various question marks and exclamation points about my music and art.

Studying deeply into myself, down to the depths of the ocean sand, I naturally came across the culture and history of punk. As I delved deeper, I found many aspects that I couldn't help but be fascinated by, which led me to integrate punk into my music.

Therefore, in this album, I combined the existing melodic sensibility and the stories embedded in the lyrics with punk tracks. From caramel and strawberries to silver nails, broken hearts, and padlocks, even to Hello Kitty and switchblades, they all represent things I love and even symbolize myself. (I seem to love a lot of things.)

And because I always believed that if I couldn't do music and art, I'd rather just die, I included such a verse.

As this is my first time dealing with punk, right after writing the opening of this song, I wanted to collaborate with the iconic figure of Korean punk, No Brain's Lee Sung-woo senior. I thought only he could wonderfully complete this song, and I'm honored and grateful that he joyfully worked with me. Thanks to him, I've grown to love rock and punk even more, and I'm happy. And once again, I want to express my gratitude to him for warmly taking care of me, his junior.

"Psychopath" is a song I wrote when I was very angry, to the point where I thought I was a psycho. There are no lyrics in the middle because I was too angry that I couldn't think of anything to say. You can meet Yongyong with red hair and metallic punk in this album.

I wanted to recreate the ending track of the concert following "Star Rain," and it finally came out. When you come to the concert, we'll all sing along together, right? I'll be waiting. I'll definitely pass the mic!

This album is a culmination of what I felt and learned while writing songs. I remember feeling relieved as if my stifled heart was finally released while singing both songs in the karaoke room. Please enjoy the new sound of Yongyong as well. Thank you, everyone!

Sending love from Yongyong filled with strawberries and cherries.

P.S. No matter what anyone says, you're the superstar -
