스콜라 창작 그림책 4권. 2017 볼로냐 라가치상 특별상 수상작 <벗지 말걸 그랬어>를 잇는 요시타케 신스케 특유의 기발한 상상력과 아기자기한 캐릭터가 돋보이는 그림책이다. 무궁무진 변신을 하는 아이를 따라가다 보면 기발한 생각에 놀라는 것과 동시에 배꼽 빠지는 웃음을 경험하게 된다. 빨래를 개고 있는 엄마에게 나리가 맞혀 보라며 퀴즈 게임을 시작한다. 엄마는 불길한 예감을 한 듯 맞히지 못해도 화내지 말라고 다짐을 받고 시작한다. 나리는 몸을 구부리고, 이불을 뒤집어쓰기도 하고, 팔을 휙휙 돌리기도 하면서 온갖 다양한 모습을 흉내 낸다. 하지만 엄마는 도무지 뭔지 알아맞히지 못한다. 마침내 나리는 왜 이걸 모르냐며 화가 나고, 엄마도 그걸 어떻게 아냐며 대꾸한다. 나리의 사물 흉내가 끝없이 펼쳐지며 기발함에 탄성을 지르게 되고, 점점 화가 고조되었다가 이내 풀리며 놀이를 이어가는 엄마와 나리의 대화가 사랑스러운 작품이다.
