Yukika's Final Gift
A remake album, [Time-Lapse] 1LP (Pink Marble Color Edition), remembered for its refreshing floral aftertaste

Yukika's [Time-Lapse], which remakes iconic songs from the 80s and 90s of Korea and Japan, is being released on LP, the symbol of city pop, by Majang Music & Pictures. City pop, which emerged from Japan's bubble economy era influenced by Western music genres such as fusion jazz, synth-pop, funk, and soft rock, is now recognized as urban and romantic music that brings to mind keywords like ‘summer’, ‘nightscape’, and ‘drive’.

Since her single album ‘NEON’ in 2019, Yukika has released city pop songs, visually showcasing the modern and glamorous genre through album artwork, music videos, and styling, making her well-known as the Japanese singer performing Korean city pop with precise pronunciation.

Yukika's [Time-Lapse] LP includes an Intro and Outro on SIDE A, allowing listeners to embark on a time travel journey between nightscapes of two different cities. The title track, ‘The One I Want to Be Close To,’ originally by Nami, has gained renewed popularity in domestic city pop playlists and has been reinterpreted as a lively song that matches Yukika’s bright vocal tone. The following track, ‘Remember Summer Days,’ is a hit by Anri, known as Japan's city pop fairy. Listening to its familiar melody with Korean lyrics evokes nostalgia along with the scent of a hot summer night.

Yukika, who brought vibrant excitement to those weary from daily life, leaves these beloved songs as a final gift. Just like the lingering floral aftertaste, [Time-Lapse] will be remembered freshly and can now be cherished on LP.
