A novel by Yu Rae-hyuk, this story follows Ryuichi, who grew up in a residential care home, and the life-changing encounters that begin when he meets Akari, a young woman who escaped the same institution before him.

Bound by deeply rooted trauma and the weight of their shared past, the two find each other in what feels like an aquarium built from the stories that have shaped—and confined—their lives. There, they kiss, steal one another's breath, and dream of one day reaching the vast open sea of Okinawa.
