Believers of the Green Cliff

'세상은 곧 멸망할 것이다. 절벽이 세계의 가장 행복한 지점으로 보내줄 것'이라는 교리를 믿는 사이비 종교 단체가 일으킨 집단 자살 사건과 그 진실이 밝혀지기까지 벌어지는 복수와 반전을 그린다.

외딴 산골의 고등학생 오연은 사고 이후 사람들의 얼굴이 낯설게 보이는 기이한 후유증을 겪는다. 유일하게 얼굴이 제대로 보이는 사람은 절친한 친구 제언뿐이다. 그 이상한 일 말고는 일상은 더없이 평화롭다. 오연은 이 평화가 어쩐지 답답하다. 그러던 중 오연은 학교에 새롭게 부임한 교생 주연과 마주친 이후 반복해서 악몽을 꾼다.

제언과 오연은 교생 주연을 바라보는 시각이 달라 다툰 후 우연히 마주친 교생의 차에 오연은 몸을 싣고, 제언은 혼자 따로 집으로 돌아간다. 그날 밤 오연은 꿈속에서 녹색 절벽을 보고, 현실에서 제언은 실종된다. 진실을 추적하던 오연은 충격적인 복수극의 한가운데에 놓이게 된다. 기묘한 꿈과 현실, 뒤엉킨 감정과 기억, 그리고 진실이 걷잡을 수 없이 몰아친다.

The story follows a mass suicide carried out by a cult that believes in the doctrine that “the world will soon come to an end, and the cliff will send us to the happiest place in the world,” as well as the revenge and twists that unfold as the truth behind the tragedy is gradually revealed.

Oh-yeon, a high school student living in a remote mountain village, develops a strange condition after an accident that makes everyone’s face look unfamiliar to her. The only person whose face she can see clearly is her closest friend, Je-eon. Aside from this strange phenomenon, her everyday life is otherwise perfectly peaceful. Yet somehow, Oh-yeon finds this peace suffocating. Then, after encountering Ju-yeon, a new student teacher at her school, Oh-yeon begins having the same nightmare over and over again.

Oh-yeon and Je-eon get into an argument because they see Ju-yeon differently. Afterward, they happen to encounter the student teacher, and Oh-yeon gets into Ju-yeon’s car while Je-eon returns home alone. That night, Oh-yeon dreams of a green cliff—and in the real world, Je-eon disappears.

As Oh-yeon begins searching for the truth, she finds herself at the center of a shocking tale of revenge. Strange dreams and reality, tangled emotions and memories, and the truth itself come crashing together, spiraling completely out of control.
