K-Movie [ 18 Youth ] DVD

Soon-jung (Kim Do-yeon), an 18-year-old high school student who lives alone with her mother, an insurance planner, is dissatisfied with home and school like many teenagers her age. She dreams of living in the vast landscapes of Africa after graduating from high school, so she studies Swahili and starts working part-time at a convenience store early on. But her plans are disrupted by the arrival of her new homeroom teacher, Hee-joo (Jeon So-min).

An unconventional teacher who respects her students' differences more than rules, Hee-joo transforms the classroom with unusual proposals, such as rotating the roles of class president and locker assignments and allowing students to decide for themselves how to use their phones. Hee-joo, a teacher who believes in freedom; Soon-jung, a prickly student desperate to escape; and Kyung-hee (Chu So-jung), a model student who insists that everything be done properly, constantly clash in the same classroom. A cheerful story begins as these very different people come to understand one another's wounds and grow together.
