After a fire at her laundromat, the resourceful and hardworking Deok-hee begins searching for a loan to get back on her feet. One day, she receives a call from Assistant Manager Son at her bank, who offers what seems to be a reasonable loan package. Trusting him, Deok-hee sends various fees and charges he claims are required for the loan process, only to discover too late that she has fallen victim to a voice phishing scam.
Having lost her entire savings and facing the prospect of homelessness with her children, Deok-hee is devastated. Then, one day, Assistant Manager Son calls her again—but this time, he is begging for help.
Determined to rescue Son and recover her stolen money, Deok-hee takes matters into her own hands. Joined by her workplace colleagues, each armed with their own unique skills, she travels directly to Qingdao, China, to track down the criminals behind the scam and bring them to justice.
