To protect his daughter, he takes her to Eunbong-ri, a quiet seaside village where his mother Bamsoon lives. Amid growing public efforts to identify and isolate the infected, Jung-hwan begins to notice something unusual: Su-a can still vaguely understand human speech, responds to the dances she once loved, and even reacts to the sting of her grandmother's backscratcher.
