The film covers the turbulent years leading up to the Korean War, including political unrest surrounding the 1946 Joseon Jeongpan counterfeit currency incident, armed uprisings linked to the Southern Workers’ Party ahead of the 1948 general election, and nationwide violent clashes.

It also examines key historical events such as the Jeju April 3rd Incident, the actions of Colonel Park Jin-kyung, and documented cases of military defections prior to the outbreak of the Korean War.

Using archival documents and recorded materials, the documentary reconstructs the complex and chaotic political landscape of Korea between liberation and the Korean War.
