"At 4 a.m. every morning, a mysterious noise echoes through the building... and the culprit is somewhere inside."

Geo-ul (played by Kyung Soo-jin), an unemployed but nosy woman who spends her days helping solve every neighborhood complaint, is forced to move into Baekse Apartment after a quarrel with her younger brother, Du-on (played by Lee Ji-hoon).

From her very first night, Geo-ul finds herself unable to sleep because of a strange thumping sound that occurs precisely at 4 a.m. Determined to uncover the source of the noise—which has plagued the apartment complex for six months—she begins investigating the residents.

As she becomes entangled with a colorful cast of neighbors, including Gyeong-seok (Go Gyu-pil), a former accountant; Ji-won (Kim Joo-ryoung), the head of the residents' association; and Saet-byeol (Choi Yoo-jung), a civil service exam candidate, Geo-ul gradually unravels the mystery.

But what she discovers is more than just the source of the noise: hidden behind it lies a long-buried secret of the apartment complex, along with painful truths from her own past.
