In South Korea's drug investigations, every backroom deal begins with a ya-dang (informant-broker).

Lee Kang-su (Kang Ha-neul), who has been falsely accused and imprisoned, receives an offer from prosecutor Koo Gwan-hee (Yoo Hae-jin): a reduced sentence in exchange for becoming his ya-dang. Kang-su accepts and begins manipulating major drug investigations from behind the scenes.

Driven by ambition and a desire for promotion, Gwan-hee uses the information Kang-su provides to rack up high-profile achievements, climbing the ranks with remarkable success.

Meanwhile, narcotics detective Oh Sang-jae (Park Hae-joon) repeatedly sees his investigations fall apart because of Kang-su's interference. Determined to uncover the truth, he relentlessly investigates the connection between Kang-su and Gwan-hee.

Kang-su, the broker orchestrating the drug underworld; Gwan-hee, the prosecutor hungry for power; and Sang-jae, the detective willing to risk everything to eradicate drug crime. As their conflicting ambitions and interests collide, the three men become entangled in a dangerous game that will change all of their lives.
