Korean Book [Mazukuri Kids Closet]

출시할 때마다 ‘1분 품절’을 기록해 온 니트 브랜드 마즈쿠리의 두 번째 도안북으로, 첫 책 『마즈쿠리의 베이비 보넷』에 이어 5~8세를 중심으로 한 아이들의 사계절 옷과 소품을 담았다. 상하의 셋업과 베스트, 카디건, 재킷, 드레스부터 비니와 양말까지 저자가 두 아이에게 직접 떠 입힌 16가지 아이템을 소개한다.

코바늘과 대바늘을 한 작품 안에서 함께 활용해 코바늘의 입체감과 대바늘의 신축성을 살린 디자인을 선보인다. 강아지 베스트, 꽃 자수 셋업, 클라우드 베스트, 헤리티지 모티브 드레스와 카디건 등 다양한 작품을 통해 두 기법을 함께 익힐 수 있으며, 기초 독자를 위한 ‘Basic Technique’도 수록했다.

모든 작품은 5세와 8세 두 가지 사이즈 도안으로 구성하고, 바늘 굵기와 옷 길이, 몸판 너비를 조절해 3세부터 9세까지 응용할 수 있는 ‘사이즈 조절 가이드’를 더했다. 아이가 자란 뒤에도 같은 도안을 다시 활용할 수 있도록 구성해 키즈 뜨개의 실용성을 높였다.

The second pattern book by knitwear brand Mazukuri, which has repeatedly sold out within just one minute of each release, follows the first book, 『Mazukuri’s Baby Bonnets』, with a collection of four-season clothing and accessories for children, primarily ages 5–8. It introduces 16 items that the author personally knitted for her two children, ranging from matching tops and bottoms, vests, cardigans, jackets, and dresses to beanies and socks.

The designs combine crochet and knitting needles within a single project, bringing out the three-dimensional texture of crochet and the stretchiness of knitted fabric. Through a variety of projects, including a dog vest, a floral embroidered set, a cloud vest, and a heritage motif dress and cardigan, readers can learn to use both techniques together. A ‘Basic Technique’ section is also included for beginners.

Every project comes with patterns in two sizes, for ages 5 and 8, along with a ‘Size Adjustment Guide’ that explains how to adapt the patterns for children ages 3–9 by adjusting needle size, garment length, and body width. The book enhances the practicality of children’s knitting by allowing readers to reuse the same patterns as their children grow.
