Readers explore a neighborhood filled with children’s favorite treats, such as cakes, jelly, pudding, and candy, searching for the “lucky cat.” After finding it, they can look for people and animals with all kinds of appearances, along with adorable little objects hidden throughout the illustrations. Even after finding everything, readers can take on the extra “bonus search” challenges at the end of the book or quiz one another about the pictures. There are plenty of ways to open the book and play again and again.

Another delightful bonus is becoming more familiar with food while taking in all kinds of colors and learning about different types of sweets. The animals that appear throughout the village also come in a wide variety of colors and shapes. Be sure to enjoy the fun of discovering what kinds of animals they are!
