Readers explore a neighborhood filled with children’s favorite foods, such as omurice, hamburgers, chocolate, and ice cream, searching for the “lucky cat.” Along the way, they can also look for people and animals with all kinds of appearances, as well as adorable little objects hidden throughout the illustrations. Even after finding everything, readers can take on the extra challenges at the end of the book or quiz one another about the pictures. There are plenty of ways to open the book and play again and again.

Another delightful bonus is becoming more familiar with food while discovering a wide range of colors and learning about different kinds of dishes. The animals that appear throughout the village also come in all sorts of colors and shapes. Be sure to enjoy the fun of discovering what kinds of animals they are!
