"Yeon-hee once dreamed only of happiness. But after that happiness is shattered, obsession and a destructive instinct begin to take its place."

Yeon-hee works tirelessly day and night just to survive. During the day, she cuts meat at a processing factory, and at night, she works as a designated driver. Her beloved husband and daughter were taken from her in an accident, leaving her with nothing but an overwhelming debt that seems impossible to repay.

Every payday, a loan shark takes most of her wages, forcing her to survive on the little money she earns from driving at night. Since losing her husband and daughter, Yeon-hee has lived almost entirely on chocolate, perhaps as a way of holding on to memories of her daughter. Her teeth deteriorate and her body grows painfully thin from malnutrition, yet she continues struggling to stay alive.

The one person who seems to offer her a way to breathe is Seo-jin, a friend of her late husband. But when Yeon-hee discovers his hypocrisy and learns the truth surrounding her husband's death, something inside her begins to change. Without realizing it, she is gradually consumed by an instinct for destruction.
